Save Water Texas is a showcase for Texas water conservation programs — identifying the tools for public outreach programs for homeowners and classroom materials for students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 7, and hosting community events and workshops to promote greater understanding of water issues in Texas. How Much Do These Materials Cost?
Some ISDs are within participating water districts/authorities that pay for or offset the cost of these materials to educators. Please enter all information requested on the Cart’s order form and any codes obtained at a SaveWaterTexas workshop or event to learn what discounts/sponsorships are available to you.
Texas Heritage Earth Day
The Save Water Texas team participated in The Texas Heritage Earth Day held at the CCEMS Education Center in Spring, Texas. The event was co-sponsored by Harris County MUD 24 and the North Harris County Regional Water Authority. Visitors were invited back to the mid-1800’s to learn how the history of the Lone Star State was inextricably tied to access to water…it determined where people lived…or died.
The education programs created by Save Water Texas follow the theme, “Learning from our past to influence our future,” and teach water conservation through Texas history.
